ABOUT THE TOUR

Come and experience the pleasures of mountain biking as we take you on an exciting and wondrous journey through the scenic locales of Himachal Pradesh.

On this adrenalin-pumping bike ride, you will enjoy some pure biking fun as we explore the mesmerising terrains of Spiti Valley, ride along the beautiful River Chandra, pass through numerous quaint villages and make our way towards the breathtaking Kinnaur Valley.

Also known as ‘The Middle Land’, Spiti Valley is a beautiful mountain valley in the Himalayas, standing between India and Tibet in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

There is a whole lot of adventure, stunning natural beauty and socio-cultural experiences awaiting you. The fresh mountain air beckons. Are you ready?

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

On arrival Delhi International Airport you will meet and transfer to your hotel. Free time for personal activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Delhi = Kalka = Dharampur – Shimla by surface (Approx 120 kms/04 hrs journey)

Morning departure transfer with pack breakfast to catch the train for Kalka, on arrival at Kalka station, transit to Himalayan queen to experience the world heritage toy train ride till Dharmpur. Disembark at Dharmpur railway station and drive to Shimla by exclusive vehicle. Check in the hotel.

Evening interaction & briefing about motorbike expedition.

Day 03: Shimla (Ride Begin)

Morning after breakfast we proceed on Royal Enfield to visiting the capital of Himachal Pradesh with Vice Regal Lodge (known as Indian advance studies) and Jakho temple

Jakhu Temple, Hanuman Temple or stop for a while at the beautiful stained – glass – windows of Christ Church, which was built in the 1850 ‘s. Afternoon visit Kufri a 30 Minutes drive from Shimla, well known picnic sport during British raj, this is an exotica of nature as a place surrounded by dense forest and snow caped mountains amidst virgin peaks and natures flora and fauna where one can completely relax and tune oneself for natural beauty.

Afternoon visit The Christ Church, The Ridge, The Mall and bustling Lower Bazar market. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 04: Shimla/Sarahan (Approx 175 Kms / 06-07 Hrs)

Morning ride to Sarahan (known as Baspa Valley) is a most holy place in Baspa Valley. On arrival check in at hotel.

After refreshment walk in the village where you can see old Himachali traditional houses

Evening witness the Aarti ceremony at Bhimakali temple. Overnight stay at Sarahan

Day 05: Sarahan/Kalpa (Approx 152 kms/ 5-6 hrs)

Travel from Sarahan to Kalpa via visiting Sangla valley with last village of India. A spectacular sight of Chitkul village and its surrounding left you speechless. 270 degrees of snowy, jagged panorama and 90 degrees of the arid boulder panorama, the Himalayas cover this village from all the sides and that view is breathtaking.

Lunch at Sangla, after lunch we continue further Kalpa, on arrival installation at camp.

Day 06: Kalpa

After breakfast day free for personal activities, and will take you to the administration office to get special permit for overseas guests only.

Day 07: Kalpa/ Nako (Approx 125 kms/ 6 hrs)

Morning visit Kalpa village located in backdrop of Kinner Kailash mountain range, Later we ride to Nako en route visiting confluence of Satluj & Spiti rivers at Khab. On arrival at Nako, a beautiful village located by the banks of lake, check in at camp.

Day 08: Nako/Tabo (Approx 70 kms/ 3-4 hrs)

Morning visit the village, the Buddhist temples with stucco images and murals and a rock where a footprint like impression is ascribed to Padmasambhava. After visit proceed to Tabo en route visit Gyu Village known as the mummy of Monk (approx 6000 years old).

On arrival, check in, after refreshment evening visit the magnificent Tabo Gompa which is the one of highlight in Spiti monasteries. This monastery was founded in 996 AD by the great teacher Richensang-po, Tabo is renowned for its breathtaking murals and stucco images – and is often called “The Ajanta of the Himalayas”. The largest monastic complex in Spiti, the old section has 9 temples, 23 chortens, a monks chamber and a nuns chamber. There are several caves adorned with frescoes and contemporary structures too. In trans Himalayan Buddhism, Tabo’s sanctity is next only to Tibet’s Tholing gompa. Overnight at Tabo.

Day 09: Tabo/Pin Valley/Kaza (Approx 85 kms/ full day)

After breakfast ride to Kaza via visiting old monastery at Lalung village and Pin Valley, the land of Ibex and Snow Leopards. Here will visit Kungri Monastery. After the visit continue our ride to Kaza (the major town of Spiti Valley). Overnight at Kaza.

Day 10: Excursion to Ki Monastery / Hikkim & Komic Village

After breakfast, you will ride to Ki monastery (the Highlight of Spiti Valley) and world highest village Komic (4587 meters). Later come back to hotel and time free for personal activities. Overnight at Kaza.

Day 11: Kaza/Chandertal over Kunzum Pass (Approx 85 kms/ 4-5 hrs)

Morning after breakfast ride through some scenic villages of Spiti Valley to Chandertal en route we cross over Kunzum Pass (4558 m) to reach this charming lake of Lahaul Valley

Overnight stay in Camp

Day 12: Chandertal/Chatru/Manali (Approx 116 kms/ 7 hrs) – Last day of riding

Early morning by walk (1 hrs one way) to visit Chandertal (The moon lake – 4270 m) which is of exquisite beauty between a lower ridge and the main Kunzum range, the outlet being into Chandra river. Enjoy the charming scenery and ride from Chandertal to Gramphu. This is a dirt road but very scenic providing views of Bara Shigri Glacier and CB ranges. Lunch at Koksar, after lunch continue ride to Manali over climbing Rohtang Pass (3980 m), stop at Marhi for tea stop. On arrival, installation at hotel.

Evening farewell dinner + cocktail with cruise members. Overnight in Manali.

Day 13: Manali / Chandigarh (approx 320 Kms drive)

Chandigarh – Delhi (By Evening Train)

Morning drive to Chandigarh by exclusive vehicle to catch the train to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14: Delhi + Departure

Departure assistance at hotel and transfer Delhi International airport to board the flight for onward destination.
