Srinagar – Leh & Ladakh – Manali Motorcycle Trip
Experience the wondrous beauty of the Himalayas on this high altitude bike ride through Srinagar – Leh & Ladakh – Manali. Tackle some of the most incredible driving roads in the world, with India Motorbike Tours so you can witness the awe inspiring mountains in all their glory.
This tour is a chance for you to peer into the lives of the people indigenous to the mountains. It is a chance to integrate yourself, even if it is just for a moment, into the culture of the surreal mountains and the quint villages scattered along the way.
The spirituality of the journey however is secondary to the sheer excitement of it. The path you forge through the mountains will be challenging and to stand up to the challenge, you will need the adrenaline that will be coursing through the veins in those situations. So, head into the mountains and see if you can look danger in the eye and come out on top.
Along the way you will visit a few key milestones. You will experience the Kashmir capital of Srinagar, famed for its breath-taking landscapes and mouth-watering cuisine, before moving on towards the daunting yet hauntingly beautiful mountains and valleys of Ladakh.

Day 01: Arrive in Srinagar
In the morning, we arrive at Srinagar and after freshening up and resting for a bit we gather post lunch in the hotel lobby to attend a quick briefing about the upcoming journey. After the briefing, we head out to test out the machines and take an hour long ride around Dal Lake and Srinagar. You are free to explore the city in the evening. Activity: Afternoon test ride.
Day 02: Srinagar – Zojila – Drass – Kargil (205kms/ 04-05 Hrs)
Post breakfast we start for Kargil and en route we visit Sonmarg for its incredible scenery. Sonmarg is primed for some stunning photography if you are so inclined.Then we continue on to Kargil via the Zoji-la pass (11649 ft.) & Drass. (Second coldest inhabited place in the world) Lunch will be in Drass before we set off once again to visit the Kargil war memorial, this memorial is dedicated to the martyred soldiers who gave their lives fighting for the pride of India.
Day 03: Kargil – Lamayuru – Leh (225kms / 05 Hrs)
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we start for Leh. The road will be picturesque and littered with stunning mountain passes such as the Fotula Pass (13479 ft.) and the Namikla Pass (12198 ft.). We will break for lunch at Lamayuru A.K.A. the moon land. Post lunch we will visit the Lamayuru monastery (YuruGompa). After the visit, we will continue onwards to Leh while stopping on the way at Magnetic hill & Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. On arrival in Leh, we will check-in at the hotel and retire to our rooms for a night of well-deserved rest.
Day 04: Day at Leisure in Leh
The day is yours to do with what you will, enjoy the beauty of Leh and its experience its incredible culture. Absorb the energy of a land stowed away from the hassles of modern life. Leh is at an altitude of 11500 ft. and due to the high altitude, it is of utmost importance that you do get some rest so you can acclimatize to the thin air and avoid acute mountain sickness.
Day 05: Leh – Pangong Lake (154kms/04-05 Hrs)
Post breakfast at the hotel we ride to Pangong Lake which rests at 14300 ft. and is the highest salty lake in the world. Shared by two countries, i.e. India & China, the lake is a vast and beautiful and provides some exemplary scenery for the photography buff within you.From there, we move towards the second highest motor-able pass (Changla pass 17688 ft.) and then on towards our camp, where we check in before witnessing an unforgettable sunset over the salty waters of the Pangong Lake.
Day 06: Pangong – Nubra Valley via Shyok River
After witnessing the sun rise over picturesque Pangong Lake we will proceed to breakfast and then ride to Nubra Valley via Shyok River, this route is normally used by the Indian Army to access the International border. By the afternoon, we will reach Nubra Valley (Hundar) and after refreshment we will head out on a Bactrian camel ride over the sand dunes in the cold desert before retiring to our quarters for the night.
Day 07: Nubra Valley – Khardungla Pass (world’s highest motor-able pass) – Leh
After a hearty breakfast, we ride for Diskit where rests the biggest statue of Buddha in the world. From this lofty viewpoint, you can witness the entirety of Nubra Valley. Later, we continue on to Leh via the highest motor-able pass in the world,Khardungla.
After enjoying the daunting beauty of Khardungla at 18380 ft. we will start our ride towards Leh once again. After checking into the hotel in Leh we will once again, retire for the night.
Day 08: Leh – Tanglangla Pass – Sarchu (255kms / 07 – 08 Hrs)
After breakfast, we will ride from Leh to Sarchu, via the third highest motor-able pass in the world, Tanglangla at 17,582 ft. After a quick photo-op we will begin our descent before stopping for tea at Debring. From there we will continue the ride on towards Sarchu while breaking for lunch at Pang. The entire day you will be spent enjoying the therapeutic ride among some of the most scenic beauty in all the Himalayas. On arrival at Sarchu, we will check-in at Camp.
Day 09: Sarchu – Baralacha Pass – Jispa (85kms/ 04-05 Hrs)
In the morning, after a quick breakfast, we will start from Sarchu on towards Jispa via the Baralacha Pass (16500 ft.). We will stop on the way at Zingzingbar for tea and after a quick refreshment we will continue on to Jispa. In the evening at Jispa, we will huddle around bonfire for a night of merriment.
Day 10: Jispa – Khoksar – RohtangPass – Manali (128kms/ 05-06 Hrs)
On day 10, we will start our ride to Manali and after crossing several quaint villages such as Tandi (the confluence of Chandra &Bhaga Rivers), Gondhla and Sissu, we will stop at Khoksar for lunch & some refreshment. From there we will continue on towards the formidable Rohtang Pass, which is about 51 km before Manali, on the eastern side of the PirPanjal Himalayan range. Of course, a stop here is mandatory so you can admire the devastatingly beautiful scenery. On reaching Manali, we will check-in at a hotel and prepare to say our goodbyes.
After completing this frankly sensational expedition, in the evening we will enjoy the farewell dinner and reflect on a trip to remember.
Day 11:– Final Moments and Goodbye(Trip conclude here)
After resting in the day, in the evening we will drop you off at Volvo bus stand to catch the bus back to Delhi.
